Pet Friendly Thomasville!

We’re officially in the “dog days of summer”- it’s so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk (eww).  But the dog days aren’t all bad…especially if you’re the lucky dog!  With a variety of pet-friendly accommodations and a bustling downtown with several pet-friendly shopping and dining options, Thomasville is ready to welcome your pup with open arms.

Let your pooch peruse three fabulous floors of antiques and beautiful interior decor with you at Toscoga Antiques and Interiors (209 South Broad Street). Trolley’s Designer Fabrics (101 North Broad Street) will also let your pup hang out while you “chase” their endless selection of wonderful fabrics and upholsteries.

Balfour Park is a beautiful, small park located on South Pinetree Boulevard between US Highway 319 and Fletcher Street.  Adjacent to the park is the Thomasville Dog Park, a perfect place for your dog to safely enjoy some off-leash time. The Dog Park has three separate pens- one for small dogs, one for medium dogs, and one for large dogs (each with running water). For some real exercise, your dogs can try out the obstacle course!

If your dog needs a new look, let him shop for himself at Hugga Mugga’s (210 West Jackson Street), a pet store that also features a doggie day care center. They have the latest leashes, fine foods and handmade treats that will make your pet — and you — wag all over.

Looking for a place to groom?  Look no further than Bow Wow Boutique (118 South Madison Street).  Bow Wow offers grooming, bathing, and more for dogs large and small.  Treat your fur-baby to a day of pampering!

If you and your pup are visiting Thomasville this summer, why not stay at one of our many pet-friendly hotel and motel options…Thomasville features several!
