Thomasville Genealogical, History & Fine Arts Library
The Thomasville Genealogical, History and Fine Arts Library, Inc. is a major repository of materials for family research with emphasis on the southeastern states. Resources include general reference works; marriage and death records; Family Tree Maker CD’s; census records on microfilm for Georgia, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi; and 2,800 rolls of U.S. Revolutionary War pension applications on microfilm.

National Main Street Center

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is headquartered in Atlanta and it’s website has valuable information regarding Historic Preservation, as well as the Georgia Main Street program. The Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources serves as the State Historic Preservation Office in Georgia.
